2012 Mandatory Water Rationing Schedule & Map

*********************************************************

Due to the drought conditions we want to inform our customers of the present situation.

 REASONS FOR CURRENT LOW PRESSURES:

1.       Extreme heat caused several pump failures yesterday - Working on the problem today.

2.       Malfunctioning automated valve failure yesterday - Working on the problem today.

3.       Power surges from the power companies.

4.       Extreme heat and extremely abnormal high water usage.

In lieu of the drought conditions in the summer of 2011, RWD 3 has completed 11 pipeline projects to prevent a repeat and to benefit the  higher elevations.  RWD 3 wants our customers to understand, although we have worked very diligently, we've not had time to complete all the extensive, planned projects.  We still have several projects that are yet to be completed, and are as follows:

 IMMEDIATE PLANS:

1.       Outside Mandatory Water Schedule going into affect today.

FUTURE IMPROVEMENTS - COMPLETED BY FALL 2012:

1.       2 miles of 16" water line on State Highway 88 that serves the Keetonville Area.

2.       Emergency Generator at Keetonville Pump Station.

3.       Emergency Generator at Lipes Pump Station.

4.       Emergency Generator at West Foyil Pump Station.

FUTURE IMPROVEMENTS - SCHEDULED TO BE COMPLETED BY JANUARY 2013:

1.       1 mile of 16" water line on State Highway 88 that serves the Keetonville Area.

2.       3/4 mile of 12" water line on State Highway 88 that serves the Keetonville Area.

FUTURE IMPROVEMENTS - UNDER CONSIDERATION TO BE COMPLETED BY SUMMER 2013:

1.       1.5 million gallon elevated storage tank in Owasso Area that serves the entire Owasso System.

2.       1-1/4 mile of 12" water line along N. 177Th E. Ave. that serves the entire Owasso System.

Please bear with us until all projects are completed!
